November 1, 2022 The Reader is a literary charity based in Calderstones Park in Liverpool. They specialise in making literature accessible and one of the ways they do this is through shared reading. We began hosting The Reader for Shared Reading on Tuesday 1st November. Shared Reading acts as a book club without the pressure of having to read a book by a deadline. Instead, the reader leader selects a few short poems/extracts/pieces of literature that the group read and discuss together. These friendly, informal sessions take place in the cafe every other Tuesday and are free to attend.
